We played this course on the back end of a whirlwind golf trip. I am a big fan of Arthur Hills and he once again has designed another marvelous course. We played the preferred 18 holes (10-27). We were treated to a slice of northern Michigan in the suburbs of Detroit.

Woodsy course. Nice straight forward par 4 to start the round. |

Not a lot of level land on this course. |

Stay out of the two large greenside bunkers on the left. You need a good poke to get to stick the green on this pretty par 3. |

This par 5 murdered us. Carrying the water is the least of your worries. I didn't have a level shot until I reached the green. Stay away from the bunkers on the right as you approach the green. |

Up and down and up again on this undulating, tight par 4. The green is a little landing strip. |
| #15 |
If you have a nice power fade, blast away. Aim at the sand trap on the right and you should be able to have a nice look at the hole once you clear it. Don't let this birdie opportunity pass you by. |

Another tough par 4. |

Awesome hole! The risk/ reward on this hole is a golfer's dream. If you get a nice, clean drive you can make a run at the green in two. The pond will force you to not come up short and the multitier green will give you one last thing to worry about to close out this side. |

Longest hole on the course lives up to its handicapping. Aim at the bunker in the middle of the fairway. I can honestly state that I didn't have level footing once on this hole. |

An elevated green to this straight forward par 3. |

Two greens on this hole. Today they had us playing the easier left. Hit the hill on the left and it will run on to green. |
| #26 |
This was highly memorable for us because we both had phenomenal approach shots to the green. |

Super finishing hole. |
| The greens are very fast and mostly large. Strangely, the breaks on the greens are not as much as you may read them. This relatively young course (first 18 holes opened in 2000, 19-27 in 2004) is very hilly and beautiful. I wish we would have had time to play the first 9 and sit down to dine. From what I have heard, the food is really good. |

| There are seven different rates for a summer week. We played early on a weekday so we found the rates on par for this very nice course. If we had played on the weekend at the same time, our rate would have been almost 40% higher! |

| Very professional in the pro shop. The gentleman dealing with our bags was very polite. The woman who we bought food and drinks from was going to my alma mater, so bonus points for her! |

| Outfitted with a driving range, short game area, and putting green. The sandwich I had at the turn was good. Pro shop was stylish and contemporary. |

| Don't have time to go up north for golf? Go 30 miles north of Detroit for the next best thing. |
