A nice little drive up M-23 to M-36 will take you to this fine Pinckney track. It was a fun time when I played this course 10 years ago. I was eager to play it again, so I went with my old co-workers CK and Jimbo to bask in the beauty of this course.
Timber Trace idiot-proofs the tees for you. They have “Handicap Recommendations” on the score cards to tell you where you should tee up from.

Stay right on this opening par 4 hole. |
| #2 |
Watch out for the bunkers that pinch the fairway on your tee shot. |
| #3 |
We had a good laugh with one of the maintenance guys before teeing off on this straight forward par 3. The green has some movement as my 3 putt indicated. I had second thoughts on their Handicap Recommendations, but then again, my putting wasn't helping my score. |

It's amazing what good shots will do to your score! This par 4 that rates as the second handicap hole is just what the doctor ordered. |
| #5 |
Another nice par 4 with the pin in a favorable position today. This course is well groomed. |
| #6 |
Dogleg left par 4 with a nicely sized green. |
| #7 |
The greenside bunker is something you will want to avoid. It is deep! |
| #8 |
Nice flat par 5 that nobody in my group had any difficulty with. Why aren't we on the PGA tour? |
| #9 |
Slight dogleg right for your second shot on this finishing par 4. My buddy CK played the front nine in textbook efficiency. |
| #10 |
Water fountain&. Pretty. |
| #11 |
Withstand your urge to go driver on this short par 4. The front side of the green is surrounded by unfriendly bunkers. |
| #12 |
Well designed par 3 with sand on the left of the green. Everything slopes to the right. A relaxing five minute scenic ride to the 13th tee box was just what I needed after my 3 putt. |
| #13 |
Another short par 4 with strategically placed bunkers. |
| #14 |
Straightway par 4 that didn't give any of us much trouble. |
| #15 |
You can get two pretty good rips on this long par 5. |
| #16 |
Same applies for this par 5. Let your driver be free! Now you get to enjoy the five minute trip back toward the clubhouse to play your last two holes. |
| #17 |
Huge bunkers surround this short par 3. |

As if the greenside bunkers aren't difficult enough, there are a couple of trees that stand like guards to the green on this very challenging par 4. |
The confusion at the 1st tee was a little ridiculous. There were nine foursomes in carts looking at each other wondering who should drive up. Finally, the starter told us that we were next, only to follow that up moments later with "Oh, I am squeezing a threesome I had before you because they just showed up late." Loosely translated, this means "These gentlemen are paid 'members' of the club, so they get to jump the line." We found out the last six groups were part of an outing. Once we got to the third hole, the pace was decent.
I really enjoy golfing with CK and Jimbo. They are quality guys that are level headed and entertaining, so no throwing clubs or crying and screaming. They were super to work with and even better to play a round of golf with. Chris beat us, per usual, followed by me and then Jimbo. I wish we could have stopped off at Zukey Lake Tavern for some of their world famous pizza and a couple of cold ones that would have topped off this enjoyable day.

| Outfitted with a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The putting green by the 1st tee has some nice undulation to it. I didn't fully take advantage of it, but it looked good to me. Pro shop was small but nice inside. |
