Course Review

By House

The little brother to Eagle Eye can hold his own as a very special golf course. Jerry Matthews designed a fun and challenging course fit to test your game at every turn. There are 27 holes at Hawk Hollow and we played holes 10 to 27. There is a lot of water on this course, so make sure you know your yardage and pray for a day without slices or hooks. Holes 19 to 27 are the shortest and were easier for us than 10 to 18. When I go back, it will be nice to play the first 9 to see the whole course.

The course is operated by the same company that owns Eagle Eye (Hawk Hollow Properties) and both are fantastic courses. Take the opportunity to play both courses in one day—it is reasonably priced and will give you the opportunity to play some truly memorable holes.

The 5 F's for Hawk Hollow

1) Fee Factor
18
The rates vary but are fair for the area and course layout. As I stated, the real deal is to play Hawk Hollow and Eagle Eye on the same day.
2) Friendliness Factor
18
Everyone was professional and polite. They take a great deal of pride in their course and it shows.
3) Fringe Factor
19
Sweet practice facility! The clubhouse isn't the behemoth that Eagle Eye has but is very nice. Hawk Hollow properties also has a 9-hole course (the Falcon) and a putting course (the Little Hawk) if you find yourself tied at the end of the round and want to play some more.
4) From 1st Tee to Handshake Factor

Well-groomed and cared for. The course is a typical Jerry Matthews design- it will test you and reward you when you deserve it.
5) Fun Factor

We had a great time. As I stated, I want to go back and play the other 9 so I can experience the whole enchilada.
