Eagle Eye is a great course in the center of the state with a distinct links feel to it. It is very much a shot maker’s course because the guys who had played here before had the advantage in our group. After playing Hawk Hollow, I was told I must check out Eagle Eye and I would not be disappointed. That statement was true, and with five sets of tees, any golfer will enjoy a round at Eagle Eye.
The anticipation of playing the famed replica of 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass starts early in the round and then subsides until around the 15th hole. Then it takes the most skilled player to keep it out of your head until you finally get to play it on the 17th hole. It is noteworthy to state how small it felt. I remember someone in our group asked if this was the smaller version of that famous par 3. No, it is an exact replica my brother-in-law concurred. That is what makes that hole so incredibly difficult. The most famous island green hole ever constructed gives you little room for error.

This is a beautiful par 3 with bunkers guiding the entire hole. The green is narrow, small, and mostly flat.

Water to the left and pot bunkers lace the fairway on this shorter par 4. There is a large bunker to the left of the green and woods deep. The green has some wonderful undulation. Fire for the pin and hope for the best!

Another gorgeous par 4 hole! Water plays off the tee short and along the right side. Your approach shot is to an extremely elevated green. Hard to stick this one with a long iron, so fly it up there high and hope it holds.

The famed par 3 replica of the 17th at TPC Sawgrass. Keep in mind that the green is only 26 yards deep, so you must take note of the wind prior to your shot. Once aboard, have fun negotiating this difficult green. I thought I was staring a birdie in the eye, only to walk back with a tap in par. |

This is another long par 5 that has water along the entire right side. If you are a slicer, you are cursing the last four holes at Eagle Eye. Luckily, that wasn't my issue, but the split level fairway leading to the green and the numerous other dangers make this a fantastic finishing hole!

The course is operated by the same company that owns Hawk Hollow (Hawk Hollow Properties) and both are fantastic courses. Take the opportunity to play both courses in one day-it is reasonably priced and will give you the opportunity to play some truly memorable holes.

It all depends on when you play because the rates are all over the board. As I stated, the real deal is to play Eagle Eye and Hawk Hollow on the same day.

The folks in the grill were especially great. The pro shop was busy, so they were professionally efficient.

Nice practice range and two putting greens. The clubhouse is huge! Hawk Hollow properties also has a 9-hole course (the Falcon) and a putting course (the Little Hawk) if you find yourself tied at the end of the round and want to play some more.

The course was tough on us, but we enjoyed every minute of it. Now that I know what to expect, I am sure I would play much better the next time I play Eagle Eye.
